Patrick is qualified in Architectural Technology and BIM Management with 10 years of experience within the construction industry in the UK and abroad. As Head of BIM Technologies at ECD Architects, he has been responsible for managing BIM workflow processes on projects across the company ensuring BIM Level 2 requirements are achieved. He ensures that BIM protocols are followed, setting up internal and external model exchange processes, creating and completing BIM delivery strategies & BEPs, managing the clash detection process of federating models, creating BIM delivery programmes, training staff and providing support, and resolving BIM and interoperability issues. Patrick is also responsible for managing the N-Able Groups multi discipline BIM consultancy department. This role involves: • Ensuring the BIM consultancy offering meets business plan objectives and targets, including agreed profit margin. • Provide leadership, management and direction in a manner consistent with the Group’s values. • Ensure delivery of all BIM projects are within client requirement, on time, in budget, to a high quality and keeping operating costs within fee; projects are monitored and where necessary design reviews take place. • Accountable for ensuring client satisfaction, proactively identifying and resolving issues and fostering positive client relationships • Proactively seek to expand the client base and business and responsible for identifying new business opportunities. • Collaborate with other teams within the company and across the group to meet commercial and client requirements. He is very passionate about digital construction and enjoys exploring and implementing new technology and processes and realises the benefits it can bring to the organisation and the entire industry. Currently Patrick is leading the BIM implementation strategy for Westminster City Council along with supporting them in developing a digital smart city.
