About Patrick Kondjo

I am a sustainable development and climate project professional with over ten years' experience in forest governance, REDD+ MRV and climate finance in Africa and Canada. I have collaborated with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), the Central African Forest Commission (COMIFAC), the United Nations Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation Programme (UN-REDD), and international non-governmental organisations (NGOs), leading projects on forest carbon inventories, geospatial monitoring, community-based natural resource management, and policy engagement. My work has contributed to validated datasets for reporting, participatory mapping of community lands and policy recommendations for REDD+ readiness in the Congo Basin. Currently based in Canada, I serve as Geomatics and Reporting Lead at Beyond Sustainable Corporation and as Founder of Environnement Pour Tous, an NGO dedicated to climate resilience and sustainable land use. I have proven skills in international project management, stakeholder engagement, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and GIS/remote sensing, and am professionally fluent in French and proficient in English. Passionate about bridging the gap between science, policy and practice, I am committed to supporting global efforts to combat deforestation, biodiversity loss and climate change in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
