About Patrick Kraatz

My experience has primarily been in the area of customer service and application support for the extent of my career, including client training and software installation, integration. Within the ZEH Sales department I had been implementing and managing proof of concepts and working with potential clients on integration and implementation of ZEH applications. I've been supporting a multitude of applications developed by ZEH Software on UNIX, LINUX, Windows and applications in the areas of seismic data management (SeisInfo). As of 2009 I supported additional Petris products in data quality and well data management in the Oil and Gas market (DataVera, PWE). My endeavors at Petris had also brought me into the area of strategic consulting. Specifically in regards to technical data management and workflow. We worked with clients to define data workflows, find the problem areas and develop a set of projects to address the issues. We'd been application agnostic with our process, recommending the types of applications and features rather than naming vendors. It's a new world for me, and has been a learning experience. With Halliburton I was working with BP, supporting Petris Winds Enterprise in Houston, Calgary and Alaska as part of their Borehole Data Management group. With Wipro Technologies I'm working again in the Consulting arena. My endeavors there have been back at BP supporting Petris Winds Enterprise for Houston, Alaska and Calgary. I also worked as OpenVMS administration and support for downstream BP through Wipro, working on application and infrastructure Evergreening in Upstream/Geoscience, Change and Release Process Management and managing communications between Wipro and DXC in regards to OS emergency patching. Working with a team on cloud optimization activities involving rightsizing and termination of unused resources. I've worked on the Alaska divestiture with BP, responsible for transitioning various Geoscience applications and infrastructure to Hilcorp. And worked with the Geoscience Application Service supporting several of the same applications and platforms, including transitioning applications to the cloud in an Agile/DevOps workflow. I'm currently working as a Business Analyst with BP on production equipment relationship models in Azure and Databricks. We're using Semarchy as the MDM solution and ultimately pushing the golden data into a Graph model.
