About Patrick Kurtz

I’m a graduating master's student in Environmental Engineering with a foundation in microbiology and a passion for sustainability and resource conservation. My mission is to contribute to innovative approaches in environmental engineering, and analytical methods that address industrial and public needs as sustainably as possible. My experience spans industrial environmental compliance, wastewater monitoring with the Metropolitan Sewer District, and academic research in environmental microbiology at the University of Cincinnati. Through this work, I’ve developed a diverse skillset in the scientific process, including lab-based microbiology, field sampling, engineering, and data interpretation—skills I’m eager to apply in new roles that ensure quality, safety, and environmental integrity. I am currently seeking opportunities in environmental/microbiological monitoring and compliance, and water/wastewater engineering. I’m available to begin work July 1, 2025, with my MS degree officially conferred in August 2025.
