About Patrick Lefebvre

I am a bilingual (French and English) Intern Architect registered with the currently working for DIALOG in the Edmonton studio. Prior to starting my journey towards becoming an architect, he obtained a Bachelor of Environmental and Conservation Sciences from the University of Alberta. Following this, I graduated from Dalhousie University in 2018 with his MArch before moving back to Western Canada to start my career. During my time at university, I significantly contributed to the rebuilding of the Canadian Architecture Students Association (CASA) and also sat on the Canadian Architectural Certification Board (CACB) as a Director/Student Representative. I am passionate about the learning continuum of the architect and have been a member of two accreditation visits to Canadian Architecture programs. I continue to pose questions regarding the role of an architect in society and to advocate for a better designed and more resilient built environment. Since then, I carried that experience to help found Becoming Architects Canada - Devenir Architecte Canada [BAC-DAC], an advocacy group focused on representing student and intern voices on a national level. I have a passion for human centered design, as well as the role of the architect in our communities. I have worked on a variety of conversion/adaptations, complex mixed-use, commercial, and industrial projects since joining DIALOG. I continue to provide my leadership and design skills to new projects. Alongside this project work, I have also advanced the physical 3D modelling, design communication, and computational design culture in our Edmonton Studio. It is also important to mention, that with a background in Environmental Sciences, I brings a systems thinking approach and deep sustainability principles to all of my projects.
