About Patrick Makono

With over 13 years of experience in humanitarian and development sectors, I bring a wealth of expertise. Holding an MA in Health and Behavior Change Communication and a BSc in Demography and Computer Science, I have honed my skills in program management, monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL). Throughout my career with Concern Worldwide, GOAL Global, Winrock International, Save the Children International, and UNAIDS, I have led impactful projects. My international experience in Jordan, Liberia, Syria, Tanzania, Zambia, and over 9 years in Malawi has equipped me with a deep understanding of implementing programs in challenging environments. I pride myself on managing budgets, designing results frameworks, and evaluating program impact for projects funded by renowned international donors including USAID, ECHO, IrishAid, BHA, FDA, UNICEF, UNFPA, and CDC. My expertise spans emergency response, WASH, nutrition, protection, child labor, SRH, HIV/AIDS, MNH, youth development, education, livelihood, and agribusiness. Driving positive change and sustainable development is my personal mission.
