About Patrick Matthews

I started my journey by working extensively in the Hospitality industry for seven years, beginning my time as a waiter and eventually working my way up to be General Manager of a wholefood restaurant in the heart of Notting Hill, London. Whilst a large portion of my time in the industry had been catered towards customer service and general operations of a restaurant, it is the recruitment process that has always held my passion; I have been responsible for the hiring, training and development of several full teams of floor staff, including Waiters, Commis Waiters, Bartenders, Hostesses and also supervisors. My roles have required me to create engaging on boarding programmes that look to screen and interview candidates before making an initial job offer. The programmes that I have created have then gone on to season the recruits and help to shape them into hard workers that can be comfortable in their positions. I have since moved into Social Care Recruitment where I help amazingly talented individuals realise their career dreams by helping to recruit into charities within Homelessness, Domestic Violence and Mental Health sectors. Its incredibly rewarding to help such important people get out and provide support for the most vulnerable in society.
