About Patrick Maxwell

I am a mid-career professional with proven capabilities in violence prevention, conflict resolution, and emergency response across multiple conflict zones. Over the course of my career I've developed extensive experience in engagement and negotiation with non-state armed actors, state military forces, conflict-affected populations, and the actors (religious, economic, governmental, and humanitarian) whose acts can affect the dynamics of violence and conflict. I've spent time in multiple conflict zones, including the Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Sudan, and within the United States. I've had multiple experiences in short-term consultancies and organizational support projects. Over the course of these projects, I've rapidly learned a new organization's patterns and habits, developed trusting relationships with members of that organization, and provided tools and knowledge to help that organization address the problems that it faces. I've also picked up some degrees along the way: I'm an alum of Harvard Law School, the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and Goshen College.
