I am a qualified environmental professional with over 19 years’ experience working in the environmental regulatory sector. As a leading expert in sustainable waste management practices, I have gained exceptional knowledge of the waste industry, the practical application of environmental legislation and in the analysis of environmental data. I have managed numerous projects and contracts on behalf of a variety of clients including the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Dublin City Council, Fingal County Council, the National Transfrontier Shipments Office (NTFSO), Regional Waste Management Planning Offices (RWMPO’s), Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland, Uisce Éireann and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). I have a longstanding proven track record in environmental compliance and regulation, conducting environmental research, analysing environmental data and I have excellent project management skills leading large diverse teams of environmental professionals across multiple projects. Prior to taking on my current role as Principal Environmental Consultant, I held the positions of Technical Services Manager, Waste Enforcement Manager and Senior Environmental Inspector within Certification Europe. I am an skilled environmental regulator, with the day-to-day practical experience working onbehalf of State Agencies and Local Government in the application of the Waste Management Act, Water Services Act and the Local Government (Water Pollution) Act, the Circular Economy and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, Eco-design and Energy Labelling Regulations> I also gained specialist in-depth knowledge of the international shipment of wastes and the application of the TFS Regulations working within and managing the Waste Enforcement Units of Dublin City Council/NTFSO. My unique experience and expertise is now utilised across Certification Europe in the successful delivery of large-scale environmental contracts supporting our Inspection Services' Programme Managers in the interpretation and application of environmental legislation, the design, mobilisation and implementation of inspection programmes, training and development of our teams and the expansion of new and existing client services.
