About Patrick McCauley

I am a results driven engineering professional currently employed as a Motioneer, mechatronics engineer, with Morrell Group. At Morrell Group I generate conceptual advanced motion control solutions for industrial and mobile applications. I also lead proposals and quotations for general automation, aerospace, automotive and miscellaneous market segments. Previously I was employed with Irvin Products where my daily responsibilities included cost analysis, benchmarking, 2D & 3D design, assembly, manufacturing, testing, and Teamcenter release processes. Both of these positions allowed me to utilize the product design and engineering technology degree I obtained at Eastern Michigan University in 2020. In addition to the degree obtained from Eastern Michigan University I also completed a Computer-Aided Engineering program at Oakland Community College. I was self-employed with McCauley’s Garage LLC, a small company I started in 2012, which sold original and reproduction parts for antique tractors, cars, motorcycles, and more. While working for myself I used design programs, like Autodesk Inventor, to redesign parts that were unavailable in the market for tractors from the 1920’s. I used my designs and exported them into a slicing program, Cura, for 3d printing prototypes of reproduction plastic parts and gaskets utilizing the latest technology in additive manufacturing. With another previous employer, Landry’s Inc, I was a certified trainer and member of their guest service action team and constantly strive toward bettering myself and the individuals around me. Within the company I participated in what were called off sites which would involve performing a service of charity and marketing exercises. During my involvement with this company I performed many different tasks that have allowed me to gain knowledge in problem-solving, customer service, teamwork, responsibility, and leadership. I am accustomed to working on teams for projects but also enjoy taking the initiative to work on projects myself. I believe my experience will allow me to be a valuable member of your company.
