About Patrick McDonnell

With over 20 years of work experience in the fields of public policy, education, and national security, I am a seasoned professional with a diverse skill set and a passion for serving my country and community. As an Air National Guard Advisor to the Secretary of the Air Force for Legislative Liaison, I leverage my expertise in government affairs, military operations, and strategic communication to foster positive and productive relationships between the Department of the Air Force, the Air National Guard, and the legislative branch of government. I am driven by a mission to advance the interests, priorities, and concerns of our department and to ensure that they are effectively communicated and understood by members of Congress and their staff. I thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment, where I can bring my unique perspectives and experiences to the team and contribute to our collective goals and objectives. In addition to my current role, I am also an accomplished educator and researcher, with a doctoral degree in educational leadership and administration, a master's degree in military operational art and science, and a certificate in public policy. I have been teaching as an adjunct associate professor at the University of Maryland University College since 2016, and as an adjunct faculty at Northern Arizona University since 2010, in the fields of criminal justice, legal studies, public administration, and justice studies. I am passionate about educating and inspiring the next generation of professionals in these fields, and I bring a wealth of practical and theoretical knowledge to my role in academia. I am always eager to learn new things and to share my insights and ideas with others.
