About Patrick McGlone

Having been heavily involved in Music throughout School I knew that I wanted to have a career in and be a part of the entertainment business and creative industries after my higher education was over. My first experience with sound engineering came in 5th year of school when I completed sound engineering as part of my Higher Music class and continued it in 6th year as part of my Advanced Higher Music. After school I completed 2 years at Stow College, in Glasgow, gaining my HND in Sound Production. This qualification then allowed me to further my knowledge of many different areas within the field by moving on to the BSc Music Technology Course at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) in Paisley, where I obtained my Degree in the summer of 2013 and I am currently awaiting the results of my Honours year. Throughout my 6 years in sound I have worked on multiple small independent and amateur dramatic shows along with completing small location recording sessions and studio sessions. In the last 3 years I have gradually moved into the area of Sound and Film with my Honours Project consisting of a Charity EP and short Documentary about the Charity and why it was chosen for the project. I also spent 6 weeks in Toronto, Ontario, Canada during the summer of 2013 where I worked with Doug McClement at LiveWire Remote Recorders LTD and at Revolution Recording. Currently I am looking forward and trying to obtain a full time and permanent job in sound production to help further my career.
