Patrick McGrory is a seasoned entrepreneur, technologist and investor who has a proven track record of helping customers rationalize their networks, systems and data architecture. Over the past 25 years, he has been a leader within the telecommunications and financial services industries; becoming the CEO of a publicly listed company, delivering over a billion of dollars of sales growth, with a focus on leading new product innovation, market entry and expansion. With an ‘Owner’s Mentality’ at each organization he has worked at, some of his key achievements include: Starting his first company in 1997; fast, profitable growth in the first year, backed the company with his own assets, before merging with eServGlobal. In the early identified the power of emerging markets as a target for real-time charging systems built by his company eServGlobal. He launched operations in Asia and grew the business to 40% of the company revenues in 3 years. He understood that 1/2 of the people on the planet had not used a telephone in early he focussed on real-time systems in developing markets. Becoming the CEO of eServGlobal and grew the company valuation by a factor of 10. He listed the company on the London Stock Exchange AIM market, executed on an acquisition to enter adjacent spaces and delivered 35% annual revenue growth. He designed and executed a strategy to focus on a few large customers, did market entry in 10 countries and closed over $1.5b of new business over his 6-year tenure. Leading Amdocs’s Emerging Offerings division focused on big data & AI; mobile financial services/ payment processing; and the post merger integration of Comverse and other acquired assets. The result was a significant number of upgrade sales driving the unit to achieve 28% profitability, well above the company average of 16-17%. After a storied career that took him to over 50 countries, Patrick was invited by former colleagues to join swXtch, which brings bare-metal features and performance to your cloud or edge applications with the touch of a button, without code changes, and where - once again, excited to be at the forefront of breaking new ground, he is currently Chief Revenue Officer, swXtch. Patrick - who alongside running a family company focusing on investments and being a passionate technologist - is also a lead robotics mentor for FIRST, a global robotics community focused on STEM and preparing young people for the future.
