About Patrick Newell

Patrick has resided in Japan for over 30 years, traveled to over 90 countries, and worked in 20 countries. He truly believes Japan is the best country in the world, and he published a book in Japanese with Konbusha,"Strategies for Keeping Japan #1, after interviewing 150 people about their 2030 Vision for Japan. He also designed a program with Singularity University in Japan, sharing with multiple major Japanese corporations how technology is dramatically changing their future business models. Patrick co-founded Tokyo International School and accredited schools globally. He advises Japanese governments and schools on how to navigate student-led learning through his work with the OECD on developing our future human skills. Also, through years of curating hundreds of TED/TEDx speakers and as an MBA professor, he teaches Global Business Storytelling. Patrick, as an expert, advises companies on how to harmoniously connect their stories, culture, and vision with the rest of the world. His current research focuses on the synergy between our human cortex and digital cortex (AI/brain + Cloud + Data/memory). How can we utilize AI to develop our human skills and enable social entrepreneurship and innovation?
