Background
About Patrick Nichols
Once I graduated from Colorado School of Mines I worked as a Software Developer for Epic. After 2 years on the Long Term Care team I left to spend 6 month skiing, traveling and reading before starting a job at a local bike shop as "The Computers Guy". I enjoyed working at the shop but quickly grew out of it and moved to my current job at Chatham Financial. At Chatham I started by working on our valuations stack. I maintained and improved our ability to generate auditable valuations for a quarter million derivatives every day. After that I moved to leading a team of developers to create advanced portfolio analytics. We maintained and enhanced a suite of 15 services composing a full stack solution displaying actionable data about clients' portfolios of debt and derivatives. When our company-wide pivot to a new system happened I began my current role: leading the team responsible for AI extraction of structured financial data.
