About Patrick Nickoletti

Greetings. I'm a life-span, comparative, multicultural, developmental psychologist specializing in resilience and risk in youth, young adults, families and communities. I'm currently based at the University of Saint Joseph as an associate professor in the Human Development & Family Studies Department. My duties include teaching, research and service as well as representing the college as a liaison to communities and agencies in the region. Across my career, I've been involved in programs promoting the well-being of youth, families and communities. To further connect the college to risk prevention efforts, I established an on-campus mentoring program for fifth graders from inner-city Hartford. I'm also coordinator of field study/internships within my department and link students with real world experience as well as to link service programs with much needed, talented future professionals. My career goals include promoting collaborations between community-based programs, human services agencies, and larger societal institutions at the state and national level. I enjoy the challenge of academics, grant writing, evaluation work, and public speaking which have presented an ever-widening range of consultations.
