About Patrick Ohearne

I am a Veteran and have been a member of successful sports teams for my entire life. I started my own sports blog and have contributed to sports websites such as DYSTnow.com as a sports writer, before joining the best team in the world, the United States Marine Corps. Although only serving four years, I advanced in my field well past my peers and learned how to delegate tasks to peers and subordinates as well as work with my superiors to achieve tasks given to me. This experience has positioned me well with the writing and communication skills I have honed through my sports writing on DYSTnow.com and the John Carroll Sports Information Department as well as the leadership and training ability learned from my time serving in the Marines.I am passionate about athletics, communicating with others, writing and serving the community. Throughout my life I have been a part of many opportunities and have always used sports to try and bring people together. I have always been drawn to put others before myself and I have loved being a part of the Jesuit traditions.
