About Patrick Omahony

Passionate about shaping the cities of tomorrow, I am working as an Assistant Consultant for the Transport & Cities Advisory at Arup as part of the Graduate Programme. I have completed my MSc in Urban Design and City Planning at the Bartlett School of Planning and am currently undertaking the Institute of Public Administration's Professional Diploma in Housing Studies, for which I received the Housing Agency's 2024 Housing Education Bursary. My academic journey began with a BA (Honours) in Sociology and Spanish from Trinity College Dublin. I expanded my cultural and academic horizons during my studies with a year-long Erasmus exchange at the Universitat de Barcelona. This experience deepened my understanding of urban dynamics in a different context and enhanced my language skills. I am bilingual in French and English, possess professional working proficiency in Spanish, and have an elementary proficiency in Catalan. My linguistic abilities enable me to effectively engage with diverse communities and stakeholders. With a vivid interest in Urban Planning, Transport Planning, and Gender Studies, I am dedicated to addressing the complex challenges faced by modern cities. My interdisciplinary background, enriched by my European experience in France, Ireland, Spain, and the UK, equips me with a unique perspective, enabling me to approach urban issues holistically and innovatively.
