About Patrick Oyibo

Dr Patrick Oyibo has a background training in Medicine and Surgery. He holds MSc in Public Health, Healthcare Management, and Epidemiology respectively, and a PhD in Public Health. His interdisciplinary research interests in the field of Public Health include health systems, policy and management, as well as infectious diseases prevention and control interventions. Dr Patrick is a co-recipient of research funding from a range of organisations including the WHO Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research, the WHO Alliance for Patient Safety, the German Leprosy Relief Association (GLRA) and the Nigerian Tertiary Education Trust Fund. In 2019, Patrick served as principal investigator for the study (Assessing the NCDs risk profile of adolescents in Delta State, Nigeria) funded by the Nigerian Tertiary Education Trust Fund. Also in 2019, he was one of the theme speakers at the 43rd Annual General and Scientific Meeting (AGSM) of the West African College of Physicians (WACP) Nigeria Chapter. Dr. Patrick is a fellow of the West African College of Physicians (Community Health) where he also served as examiner for the membership and fellowship examinations in Community Health. He is also a fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health.
