About Patrick Petterson

I’m an experienced airline pilot and instructor/assessor, learning and development has always been a passion of mine. My current role is Airline Examiner with Airwork. I’m very skilled in training and assessment within the airline industry and ab initio training. I have held the Senior Person roles for Training and Competency Manager. I have a Degree in Aviation majoring in Flight Instruction and I am a qualified Airline Instructor and Examiner (TRI/TRE) under both the NZ CAA and the Australian CASA systems. I have extensive simulator and line check and training experience and hold New Zealand Category C and D instructor ratings and the Category D issue privilege. My commitment, optimism and ability as a trainer brings the best out of people. Through my experience within airline operations, I have proven ability in team leadership and support, safety and threat/risk management. I am a quick and dedicated learner and can adapt readily to working in different environments. I have significant transferable skills which can be easily put to use in other industries and roles especially in Training/Learning and Development positions.
