With over 30 years of experience in municipal government, I currently serve as the Community Development Director for the City of Oroville, where I lead initiatives that empower disenfranchised communities and support sustainable urban development. I am passionate about creating meaningful impacts through strategic community planning, collaborative workshops, and inclusive engagement efforts. In my current role, I am advancing Oroville's energy resilience by establishing microgrids and developing an energy zone overlay to attract and support energy-related businesses. I also assist developers in navigating California’s complex development requirements, ensuring projects align with both state regulations and community goals. My efforts extend to supporting the local business association to revitalize downtown, managing a City Hall remodel project, and spearheading the city’s marketing and rebranding initiatives. Additionally, I am implementing new software solutions to streamline city processes, increase customer satisfaction, and reduce frustration, all while ensuring that Oroville remains a vibrant and thriving community.
