Physician, leader and collaborator with several decades of experience in Hospital and Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine settings. Extensive international experience working with various national/international settings. in relation to development of Emergency Medicine as a Primary Specialty. Experienced Board member in voluntary and charitable sector, where I provide a medically-oriented view on Governance issues. Also experience at Board level in post-graduate medical education and professional supervision. As a Board member of Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council, developed experience in Fitness to Practice work as Chair of that sub-committee. Latterly underwent training in Quasi-Judicial Decision Making at Kings Inns, and further experience in Fitness to Practice process of the Medical Council. Currently Chair of the Health Committee of CORU. Specialised in professional expert reporting on complex injury recovery, and reviewing Critical Incidents. Long term experience and publication in areas of Clinical Research, Emergency Medicine, safety systems, emergency response and resource recovery, critical incident command, organisational planning, quality, infection prevention and control, Emergency Services, Healthcare and disaster preparedness and management, environmental health, integrated approaches to Hospitals and patient care delivery.
