About Patrick Ross

I have been fortunate enough to be a part of the Orion Township Team since 2018 where I began my career as a Seasonal Park Maintenance Worker, quickly acclimating myself with the team and securing a full-time opportunity in a similar capacity. Through my time with the team, I have gained an immeasurable amount of firsthand experience that has lent itself well to taking on the role as Parks and Facilities Superintendent. Aside from my hands-on experience gained through various employment opportunities, I also have a strong educational background that would allow me to be successful in any role by combining my knowledge of day-to-day operations with a strong understanding of the administrative side. Attending Michigan State University and obtaining my Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and Agriscience has allowed me to pair my experiential maintenance work with my course work in Crop Science, Soil Science, Water Resource Management, Environmental and Natural Resource Policy in Michigan, Fundamentals of Fisheries and Wildlife, and Organisms and Populations. Combining this foundational background with my studies through the Master of Science Program focusing on Training and Development, I am able to combine my enthusiasm for the outdoors with my ability to lead and develop a strong staff and team. This cumulative course work drives my true passion – working in the Parks and Recreation Field, helping individuals engage in fun, safe, and clean interactions with the outdoors.
