About Patrick Saari
My passion for medicine and biomedical research motivates me to pursue a degree in Biochemistry at UC Santa Barbara, where I am expected to graduate in December 2025. I am especially interested in the fields of synthetic biology and immunoengineering, and aspire to contribute to the fight against cancer. As a Research Assistant in the Mukherjee group, I apply protein engineering techniques to develop novel MRI reporters that enable noninvasive observation of molecular events in deep tissues. I am proficient in cell culture, flow cytometry, immunofluorescence among many other techniques.
