About Patrick Sanderson

I am a bilingual museum professional and self-employed musician with wide variety of experience in improving quality and results. Currently serving as an exhibits technician for the Bullock Museum, I adapt my approach every day to a dynamic environment and execute projects both solo and as part of a team to deliver a consistently excellent visitor experience. I am passionate about constant improvement and teamwork that exceeds the sum of its parts. I thrive in dynamic environments where creativity and strategic thinking are valued. I am committed to continuous learning and staying abreast of industry trends to ensure my teams deliver cutting-edge solutions that outperform client expectations. Throughout my career, I made my mark by consistently identifying areas for improvement and designing campaigns that have resulted in significant growth and expansion. I developed new procedures and policies in the Visitor Services department while leading our team and enhancing interdepartmental communication throughout the museum. I later moved to a more direct, back-of-house role in the Exhibits department. There, I design and execute projects aimed at continually increasing the quality of our galleries. These projects range in scope from large (i.e. designing the lighting for multiple rooms) to small (i.e. modifying circuit boards) but always focused on increasing excellence. Currently, I am transitioning to a tech-focused career in Quality Assurance. I completed a certification course with TripleTen that covered manual testing, automated testing, test design, and documentation. I also became proficient with industry-standard technologies such as Postman and JIRA, and learned to write automated tests in JavaScript. My certification included numerous projects on both web and mobile applications, testing the user interface, design elements, database, and API of various applications.
