I started my college education knowing that Civil Engineering was my calling. The scale of the work and tangible nature of what was produced drew me in. However, arriving at my focus did not come as quickly. During my sophomore year in college I shadowed multiple engineers at Redniss & Mead to see if this type of career was right for me. The experience was great and work interesting but I remember thinking that I could never handle all the drafting.Fast forward three years later, I was nearing graduation. With little confidence in what I really wanted to do, I took a job at a civil engineering firm. A year later, as fate would have it, I found myself working at Redniss & Mead in the same pod I sat in four years earlier. I love what I do and have passion for every facet of the work…even drafting.
