About Patrick Simmons

Patrick Simmons’ career spans four continents, working in corporate, entrepreneurial, diplomatic, military, and non-profit environments. This includes managing, analyzing, controlling, and advising in financial, operational, media, technology and cross-functional programs valued at over $400M. Since 2004 he has specialized in financial, media and entertainment industries, working and consulting in diverse areas from structured finance and fund governance to corporate communication, marketing, and film and television production. Patrick has experience in all aspects of media production, both on-camera and off, from acting and on-air presentation to producing, directing and editing, and includes planning and program-managing acquisition and implementation of a $1M high-definition television studio. His past production clients and joint venture partners have included SABC, BBC, BET, Coke, Pepsi, PetroSA, Oando, and the foundation of former South African President F.W. de Klerk. Patrick has also developed and consulted internationally on feature film partnerships, finance, and the setup of special purpose vehicles, and sits on several advisory boards. Patrick also sits on the boards of five (5) international funds with assets which have exceeded $450M, and is a currently registered fund director approved by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority. Additionally, he has served as director and officer for numerous non-profits and for-profit companies internationally, including those with clients in over 50 countries. Patrick’s previous seven (7) years of professional experience leading teams performing multi-national financial, operational, technology and internal control reviews for a Fortune 100 board solidified his expertise in managing, analyzing and controlling cross-functional operations and risk. Patrick is a recently retired officer of the U.S. Air Force, after having served over 20 years in active-duty and reserve roles to include communications director, information operations officer, military information support operations planner, and political-military affairs strategist. He worked in U.S. Embassy, joint force combatant and NATO coalition environments, and also served on the leadership team for the Vice Chief of Staff of the Air Force's Operations in the Information Environment (OIE) innovation effort.
