About Patrick Simpson

I am a fast-learning and hard-working engineering graduate who particularly enjoys working on problems and connecting with people. I am passionate about my field of study and excelled at university, achieving a 1st class result in my integrated bachelors/masters’ course, and receiving the Head of School Excellence Scholarship from the faculty. I have experience in a variety of engineering projects, from designing an ankle motion capture device as part of my 3rd year individual project to the Robot Fighting League at the university, as well as many others completed as part of my course. I am competent with software such as SolidWorks and MATLAB, as well as discipline-specific software such as ABAQUS and Ansys for finite element analysis and computational fluid dynamics respectively. I have strong interpersonal skills that I have acquired through a variety of employment roles, including leadership through my role in the Cadet Force and communication skills through my time in retail. I am looking for a role where I am able to work with like-minded people and further develop my skills professionally. I am seeking to join a business that shares my core values of honesty and integrity.
