About Patrick Spreiter
I am a software engineer with Airbus. I have a special interest in localization, navigation and tracking. I graduated in electrical egineering with main focus on information technology at the Friedrich-Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. In my bachelor thesis I developed and implemented a robot aided 3D UHF-RFID localization system using propagation backtracking. During a research project I developed a method to create semantically annotated maps to improve the tracking accuracy of dynamic objects. My master thesis covered sensor data fusion of visual odometry, inertial measurements and GPS to track a robot accurately. As a fusion algorithm was the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) used. The main focus was the comparison of two motion models, namely a constant position model and a constant velocity model.
