I'm a professional Software Engineer that loves what he does. I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Bahia. I’m passionate about computer programming, especially mobile and web programming, with varying degrees of proficiency and work experience. I can code in PHP, Python, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, C, Kotlin. I like learning new languages, the last being Kotlin. I also have experience working with Linux servers and network administration. At the time of writing this biography, I had published five Android apps in Play Store as a "solopreneur" under the developer name of "Freelapp", which is also the name of one of my apps. The Freelapp app is a platform for helping connecting freelancers looking for jobs and customers looking to hire. I also enjoyed very much developing two other apps: Hot Apps Nearby, an app for finding out what are the most popular Android apps between other users near you, and Hot Music Nearby, an app for finding out what are the most played songs between other users near you (that also use the Hot Music Nearby app). I have a high level of familiarity with the Linux ecosystem. I am an avid user of the Linux command line (bash) and the incredibly powerful GNU tools. I’ve been interested in Linux since a young age, and I’ve used numerous distributions since the year for fun and learning. In 2002, I’ve voluntarily participated in the Debian-BR project, translating.deb packages descriptions from English to Brazilian Portuguese, which was my first experience with the open-source development cycle and professional community. I have worked with commonly used data-center and web server tools, mainly on the Linux ecosystem (Bind, Apache, IPTables, Cacti, Nagios…) I’m proficient in English and am comfortable with writing and conversation on an advanced level.
