A man grows most tired while standing still" a Chinese proverb says. I believe this is entirely true and this is why I enjoy working in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment. I love the challenges of adapting to new areas of development and research and the simultaneous opportunities for continuous further education. This is reflected in my academic background which includes an BSc in Electrical Engineering an a MSc in Biomedical Engineering (ETH Zürich) as well as PhD in Biomedical Optics (University of Bern). Due to my educational background, I am particularly focused on - and fascinated by - research and development in multidisciplinary fields like the realization of complex sensor and imaging systems for example for medical care.
