About Patrick Stokes

I love everything about the insurance industry, especially it's core mission to help people when they need it most; insurance exists to put lives back together. I'm also enamored with analytics and operating efficiency. There's always a way to work smarter, utilizing a data-driven approach, to achieve better results. Whether it's top line revenues or bottom line costs, there's always layers of fat you can optimize using analytics. In my free time, I'm geeking out on sports analytics, thinking about ways to better manage my favorite teams' payroll and personnel decisions, better known as being an armchair GM. I've spent over 15 years leading claims operations in both personal and commercial lines. I ran the entire claims operation for a small company and built a team from scratch to learn new product lines, state regulations and manage exponential growth from a rapidly growing book. I lead through collaborative inclusion and will always roll up my sleeves to assist the team. Every team is different but the best ones share common concepts: well-rounded skill sets that complement one another both in diversity and seniority, open communication and idea sharing, respect, striving for excellence and accountability. At the end of the day, my keys to success are rooted in continuing education, employee development and succession planning. I started this profile a few years ago but my role shifted from dashboard design to Agile project management so I haven't kept it current.
