I lead a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to drive technology innovation in the life sciences and ICT for health sectors at the Tyndall National Institute. I have worked in the semiconductor, medical devices, telecommunications, and commercial electronics markets. I have experience in European, US and South East Asian work environments. Worked for startup, medium sized and multinational companies. Managed incumbent teams as well as hiring and building groups from scratch. Held individual contributor roles with a focus on product design, verification and validation. Comfortable in multicultural environments and adaptable to different cultural expectations. Guided my team through difficult changes and supported executive management to achieve organisational change with a win-win approach. Successfully developed engineers from junior level to engineering leadership level. I believe in doing the job right first time and with a focus on best compromise for all stakeholders. I enjoy creative work and adopt a collaborative, professional, direct and honest working style.
