About Patrick Valdivia

At FourFront, I solved business and marketing issues using a combination of Python, Java, SQL, and AI. For example, I resolved a multi-million dollar vehicle inventory problem affecting a national dealership, analyzed the impact of weather events on vehicle appointments and sales, and analyzed and developed insights from recruitment and enrollment data at several colleges. As the Manager of Computing and Cyber Lab Services at Howard Community College, I oversaw the department's teaching assistants and tutors, ensured adequate classroom, lesson, and lab preparation, directed grant activities, and lead a successful accreditation effort for the cybersecurity program. With over six years of experience in this role, I have developed and demonstrated skills in teaching, programming, and program management, as well as data analysis and AWS. Prior to joining Howard Community College, I was a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley, where I studied the basic science of superconducting alloys and related magnetic systems. I designed and implemented experimental research agendas, performed various characterizations, and published papers in scientific journals. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Maryland College Park. My academic background and research experience have given me a strong foundation STEM, which is my passion and expertise. My goal is to continue to learn, innovate, and contribute to the advancement of science and technology.
