I am an engineer deeply committed to addressing the world’s most pressing energy challenges, with a specific focus on decarbonizing heat. My fascination with this field began as early as high school, allowing me to build an extensive and diverse experience set. Over the past six years, I have explored every relevant avenue of the energy transition in my ambition to comprehend the full scope of this societal undertaking. Projects ranging from bio- and e-fuel production, thermal and electric energy storage, carbon capture, green hydrogen production, and most recently, industrial and high-temperature heat pump performance have contributed to this knowledge base. I have delved into these topics through my BSc in Mechanical Engineering and my MSc in Energy, Flow, and Process Technology, a specialization within this faculty. Beyond my technical endeavors, I have spent five years as a teaching assistant, where I honed my skills in communicating complex concepts effectively, crucial for gaining the support needed for innovative and ambitious projects. One notable project was my work at TNO, where I developed, built, and installed a fiber optics-based temperature sensor for a photo-chemical reactor. This experience exemplified my ability to blend advanced technological solutions with practical engineering applications. In addition to my technical and teaching roles, I have also gained significant financial experience. I led a team in writing a comprehensive suite of policies to manage and professionalize the financial reserves of my study association. This role, secured through my years of experience as a treasurer, equipped me with valuable skills in financial management and strategic planning, essential for ensuring the viability and success of large-scale projects. I am committed to continuous, high-paced growth, always seeking to expand my skills, take on new responsibilities, and tackle increasingly larger challenges. My dedication and extensive experience equip me to make a significant impact on the energy transition.
