Patrick Willems is full professor of urban and river hydrology and hydraulics at KU Leuven. His main expertise is the study of hydrological extremes (floods, droughts), surface water systems (rivers, river catchments, urban water systems), hydrological and hydraulic modelling, statistical incl. extreme value analysis, impact analysis of climate change and climate adaptation solutions. He is actively involved in projects, committees and advisory board related to water management.
