About Patsy Shannon

I am a highly experienced administrative director who believes in the power of strong and trusting partnerships, which probably explains why the last 20+ years of my career have been dedicated to the Mocoh Group. With a career moulded by the energy industry and focused on the African continent, I know both the sector and the region inside out. After working at Vanol International and then Engen Petroleum, in 1998 I stepped away from my comfort zone when I joined Michael Hacking to found the Mocoh Group. The last two decades have been some of the most challenging, exciting and rewarding years of my life. Mocoh’s vision and strategy for a greener and cleaner future are sure to make the next decade equally as fulfilling. The energy sector and administration are not my sole professional interests however. In 2016 Michael and I established the mc2h Foundation. A Swiss-registered charity, mc2h supports and promotes access to quality education in Africa. The opportunity to genuinely improve the lives of disadvantaged children and adults, and encourage more prosperous and sustainable futures for African communities gives my professional life a clear sense of purpose.
