About Patsy Wong

I am contributing to the Canadian healthcare by using data to make a difference. I have a software engineering and system analysis background. In my career, I have worked in various sectors: Healthcare data analytics, data standards, IT consulting, supply chain planning, enterprise resource planning, and geographic information system. In the recent years, my focus is on the healthcare sector. I am a Certified Professional in Health Information Management System (CPHIMS-CA) since 2013, and I have a Masters Certificate in Healthcare Management. I like to work on different types of projects. It is very rewarding to solve a problem by developing options to the point when a solution is selected and implemented. I have led projects in multiple capacities - being the development lead to work with programmers, the test lead to develop test scenarios and create test data, the business system analyst to gather requirements, to being the stakeholder of projects. My specialities- Data standards, data management, and data analytics skills - Leadership skill - Program/Project management skill - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Years of experience in software development and IT consulting One of my personal values and priorities is to contribute back to the community through non-profit work. I work with organizations focused on mentoring youth and providing education. I have been volunteering to work with the First Robotics Canada to promote STEM education for students (aged 9 to 18) for 6 years already. Also, I am a Faculty member of Digital Health Canada and I volunteered as an instructor for the Health Informatics Lecture Series.
