About Patti Murphy

Patti Murphy has extensive professional experience developing strategies to promote the mission of organizations, surpassing revenue goals and building strong relationships. She is a highly-motivated individual with a broad background recognized for excellent leadership capabilities and maximizing resources. Patti's work in the podcast industry has left an indelible mark on listeners as she's explored leadership, human performance, altruism and community with people who've lived extraordinary and profound experiences in these areas throughout their lifetimes. She has hosted and/or produced hundreds of podcast episodes for organizations including the FDNY Pro Podcast, Throwback FDNY Podcast and Leadership Under Fire Humanizing the Narrative Podcast. A native of Staten Island, New York, Patti started her career covering news across the five boroughs for a 24-hour television news channel. In 2014, she joined the Fire Department of New York's Office of Public Information, managing their internal website, DiamondPlate, which played a critical role in disseminating timely training and information. Patti is the first FDNY civilian employee to attend the Naval Postgraduate School Center for Homeland Defense and Security. In 2021, she relocated to Tampa, Florida, and began working at the Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation supporting Moffitt's mission to contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer. In 2022, after years of freelancing outside of her primary role, she scaled up her passion projects and dedicated her full attention to various organizations in different capacities. She is an ultra-marathon runner and holds a Bachelors in Communications from Baruch College.
