I have worked in healthcare my entire adult life. My journey has taken me through acute care hospitals, managed care. durable medical equipment, health information system software and higher education. The common denominator that runs through my journey is healthcare data. The data is the personal health information of a healthcare consumer and the information an organization uses for strategic planning and decision making. The integrity of the data is of utmost importance. I am passionate about the personal story behind the data. It is not just digits and characters, behind each element there is a human that will be impacted by that data. I work at providing educational content to HI professionals to assist them along the data analytics journey. The amount of healthcare data available is innumerable. The data must be trustworthy and reliable. Much of my free time is spent in the great outdoors! Our world is filled with incredible beauty. I love to hike and snowshoe in the mountains and kayak in streams and lakes. Thursday nights I can be found at the bowling alley trying to improve my stats in the league team.
