About Patty Troppe

Dr. Troppe has over 30 years of education research and evaluation experience, including 10 years of senior management experience, and a passion for generating high-quality data and evidence to inform education policy. She brings a track record of winning and executing studies for the U.S. Department of Education and has applied her solutions-oriented thinking to initiatives to improve strategic planning, business development, and project execution. She is well-versed in K-12 education issues, and her current research focuses on examining the implementation of large-scale federal education policies. She is a skilled project director, having managed large project staffs, timelines, budgets, subcontractors, and quality assurance reviews throughout the deliverable development cycle for multi-million dollar contracts. She is active in the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM) and is a past chair of its Institutional Representatives Committee. She also is a member of the Board of Directors of Girls on the Run of Northern Virginia.
