About Paul Allatson

I am an academic editor with some 26 years experience as an academic in writing for an array of publications and audiences in numerous disciplines, and 20 years experience of academic editing. I have tertiary qualifications in history, languages, literary studies and visual art practice and theory. Among an array of editing responsibilities, I am the founding editor of the multilingual Portal: Journal of Multidisciplinary International Studies, and I am on the international editorial board of the journal Latino Studies. Between 2004 and 2010 I was a series editor for the Writing in Latinidad: Autobiographical Voices of U.S. Latinos/as series, University of Wisconsin Press. I have also edited books of scholarly research and special issues of scholarly journals. As an experienced supervisor of MA and PhD students I know what sort of editing will help students get the best results. I offer proof reading and copy editing services to academics and post-graduate students in the humanities, arts, social sciences, education, life sciences and psychology. I am available to copy edit and/or proof read journal article submissions, book chapters, books, grant applications and research reports, as well as MA and PhD theses that are approaching submission. I am also available to undertake index production for book projects. I am thorough and meticulous, and always work closely with clients to ensure they are delighted with the editorial outcomes.
