About Paul Bettings

As a photographer I have been capturing social, cultural and geo-political issues through my camera for over a decade. Throughout my career work has taken me around the globe and allowed me to photograph for many organizations in the public and private sectors. Through my experience living and working in developing countries, I’ve been able to transfer my skills across multiple areas, including international development, communications, and project management. This has included leading trips for public figures, influencers, NGOs, and safari companies, as well as managing media relations, trip planning, overseas logistics, and coverage in emergency environments. I also operate Groundlines Media, a creative agency that provides specialized media support to companies and organizations, with a strong focus on photo and video production. Working with a diverse range of clients, we’ve led projects spanning annual reports, website development, content management systems, video production, online marketing campaigns, and comprehensive web strategies. I have completed my Masters Degree in International Development from Eastern University, St. Davids, PA. I also have an undergraduate degree in Art History/Cultural Studies from York University and completed graduate and post-graduate schooling in Photography at the Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning.
