For over a decade, first as a Litigation Support Analyst and then Litigation Support Manager, I have helped our legal teams navigate the ever growing bodies of evidentiary data by leveraging my IT knowledge and experience so that we can achieve successful outcomes for our clients. As the manager of a team of Litigation Support Analysts in both civil and common law jurisdictions in multiple offices, my responsibilities included-Standardization of our in-house platforms, processes and procedures across all regions-Developing and implementing long term solutions for litigation related processes -Mitigation of risk associated to our processes and procedures-Developing proper evidence data handling protocols-Create supporting documentation and checklists for various processes-Support and administration of various database types-Support and troubleshooting of software-Suggesting processing methodology based on time, effort, cost and desired outcome-Ingestion, processing and production of litigation evidentiary data-Preparing data collections for document review and managing the data until completion-Evaluation of litigation specific or related software products-Maintaining a current knowledge of tools and trends-Interviewing client custodians in order to develop targeted data collection plans-Identifying potentially relevant data sources or data mapping-Advise clients on best practices for data collection from information systems-Medical file handling and sensitive data transfer-Web content capturing.
