About Paul Booth

Summary: Creative Director and 3D Artist specializing in lighting and layout for cinematic experiences. With a foundation in design and a trajectory that spans European creative agencies to Italian designer brands, I bring a unique blend of artistry and technical knowledge to every project. Currently, I'm channelling my passion into 3D cinematics for products, brands, games, and film. As well as co-creating original IP projects. Background: My journey began in design, leading to freelance opportunities and teaching roles. This foundation was enriched with a BSc in Entertainment Technology, where I delved into animation, film editing, game design, and audio production. The pursuit of knowledge led me to a PhD and MSc in Web Science, where I contributed to academic literature on visual analytics with the unique application of behavioural economics to the subject. This rare amalgamation of design, management, and scientific research sets me apart in the industry. Recent Endeavours- Shortlisted for the Future of Future incubator 2023 (currently in phase 1 of 2)- Epic Summer of Unreal 2022 (UE short course)- Epic Animation Bootcamp 2023 (UE5 short course) Aspirations: My sights are set on Art Direction and leading large-scale commercial projects as a Creative Director, especially in film and multi-platform IP. With a deep appreciation for music and film, and a budding proficiency in Spanish (thanks to my residence in Spain), I'm always on the lookout for diverse and challenging opportunities. Outside work I enjoy time with the family, exploring Spain. I also enjoy other creative pursuits such as producing and hosting podcasts, a testament to a love for storytelling in all its forms.
