About Paul Brenner

Paul R. Brenner is a professor and senior associate director of the University of Notre Dame’s Center for Research Computing in charge of Software Development, HPC Operations, Cybersecurity and User Support. In his role, he advances computation based research through research computing system design, deployment, operation and support. He directs scientific software development: web, database, machine learning, mobile and blockchain via industry best practices. He conducts research and grant development to grow computational infrastructure and capabilities and directs HPC user support through instruction, collaborative documentation and operational communications. Brenner serves as the university's technical and project lead on multi-institution Internet2 Net+ cloud service validation and develops and enhances national technical collaborations with XSEDE, CASC and SC communities.
