About Paul Brooks

A highly motivated security, investigations and training consultant with over 30 years policing experience. Experience in learning and development, training, security management, capacity building, institutional reform, change management programmes and consultancy in the UK or abroad. I have worked in a variety of policing areas, including Investigations, Firearms, Public Order, Counter Terrorism, Aviation and Maritime security, and Intelligence Management, at both operational and strategic level. I am a qualified trainer and have extensive experience in Public Order Training and Border Security as well as Investigations, and general policing. Educated to degree level, I studied at Aston University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in French and Business Studies. I have a range of experience and have worked at both local, regional and national level within the Police Service. I have undertaken a variety of roles during my career. I have extensive management experience and am able to direct, motivate and manage teams. Upon retirement, I worked on a national policing change programme and was responsible for a team of people implementing a new IT system and introducing new operating practices in all forces and regions in the UK. More recently I have worked internationally on Conflict Security and Stability Programmes primarily in Policing and Security, Organisational Development, Capacity Building and Institutional Reform.
