A Compliance Officer with an in-depth understanding of the complex compliance issues surrounding the iGaming market. A Risk Manager with extensive experience in developing and implementing a number of successful risk management policies at the Malta Gaming Authority. Proficient at evaluating risk, analysing internal policies, determine the business’ “risk appetite” and developing matrices to measure the size of risks. Specialising in conducting audits on corporate internal processes to determine compliance with risk policies. Experience also acquired in relation to Internal Auditing primarily in the provision of independent assurance to the MGA Board of Governance and the MGA Audit & Risk Committee that the Gaming Regulator’s risk management, governance and internal control processes are operating effectively. This was done via operational, regulatory and compliance audits in accordance to the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standard. Through my considerable experience in the communications sector, I have developed strong communication and presentation skills, including writing, editing and curating content for various types of audiences, articulating clearly both in the written and spoken word and being able to understand a variety of people.
