About Paul Caplis

Paul is a bright, enthusiastic and ambitious professional with experience across project management, business development and client relationships. My background and experience has allowed me to build the skills that are essential for successful project delivery, understanding client requirements, and being creative when offering solutions to clients. As a Development Advisor with Enterprise Ireland, I provide help, advice and support to Irish businesses, both new and existing to scale into international markets. My experience within the Department of International Trade (formerly named UK Trade & Investment-UKTI, British Embassy Dublin )- from 2007 until 2015 - was to help Irish companies to set up in the UK for the first time and also to advise and support Irish companies already in the UK to expand further. During 2015 and July of 2016, my role as Commercial Director with the British Irish Chamber of Commerce, was to provide a support mechanism and a connections platform for both British and Irish companies that are doing or wish to do, business with each other. I also was part of the SME Policy group and sub committee to best represent the interests of of SME members and also contributed to the policy committees in sectors of importance such as Food & Drink, ICT and Energy. Beyond the UK & Ireland Trading area, I was employed with the Irish Exporters Association, an independent support organisation which helps advises and provides services to Irish companies interested in or actively exporting to international markets. My primary role, as Export Hub Manager was to help and support SME's as they looked to export into international markets. My responsibilities included Business Development, Account Management, Stakeholder/Partner Engagement and Client Relationships.
