About Paul Carpenter

I have 34 years’ experience in the construction industry with 28 years in the Middle East. After 4 years employment with a local Contracting Company in North Wales I headed overseas to Kuwait where I was fortunate to work on the refurbishment of Bayan Palace, which had sustained substantial damage during the Gulf War. This then took me on to Egypt and to Dubai where I was involved in the construction of numerous commercial buildings and 5 star hotels. On relocation to KSA in 2004 I entered the Oil & Gas sector working as a Project Control Manager and reporting directly to the General Manager for Metal Services Company. During peak operations the company had over personnel, an extensive plant and equipment division, and an annual turnover of SR600 million. In June 2016 I was appointed as Acting General Manager. The works focused on cross country pipelines, plant works, horizontal drilling, tank fabrication and erection, together with associated buildings and facilities. Our main clients in the Kingdom included Saudi Aramco, ABV Rock, SEC, Ma'aden, Marafiq SWCC, Royal Commission and Saudi Cement. Procurement & Contract Expertise; Extensive practical experience of FIDIC, JCT, EPC forms and bespoke Middle East forms of contract including Saudi Aramco and SEC standard forms for LSTK and LSPB.
